Grain-Free Sweet Potato Dog Treats
1 c canned sweet potato (*)
1 3/4 c gluten-free flour
1 egg beaten

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Mix all ingredients together and roll into balls or drop by teaspoon on a parchment-lined cookie sheet (**). Press each biscuit down slightly w/a fork. Bake 30 – 40 minutes and let cool. Makes about 2 dozen semi-soft treats.

*   I boiled, peeled, & mashed a fresh sweet potato.
** I wanted to use my Florida cookie cutters. The dough was sticky, so I had to add more flour to roll it out.

Grain-Free Apple Carrot Dog Treats
1 c gluten-free flour
1 c grated carrots
1 tsp baking powder
1 egg
1/2 c unsweetened apple sauce

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Mix all ingredients together and roll into balls or drop by teaspoon on a parchment-lined cookie sheet. Press each biscuit down slightly w/a fork. Bake 30 – 40 minutes and let cool. Makes about 2 dozen semi-soft treats.

Grain-Free Banana Peanut Butter Dog Treats
1 medium banana mashed
3 Tbsp creamy peanut butter (*)
1 large egg
1 3/4 c garbanzo flour

Preheat oven to 300 degrees.
Mix all ingredients together and roll into balls or drop by teaspoon on a parchment-lined cookie sheet. Press each biscuit down slightly w/a fork. Bake 30 – 40 minutes and let cool. Makes about 2 dozen semi-soft treats.

Grain-Free Peanut Butter Sweet Potato Dog Treats
1 sweet potato (*)
1 egg
1/4 c coconut milk
1/2 c creamy peanut butter (**)
1 1/2 Tbsp flax-seed (Add 2 Tbsp water and let sit to make a paste)
1/2 c coconut flour (add more for thicker batter)

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Mix all ingredients together and roll into balls or drop by teaspoon on a parchment-lined cookie sheet. Bake 15 minutes and then press each biscuit down slightly w/a fork. Bake another 20 – 25 minutes and let cool. Makes about 2 dozen semi-soft treats.

1 c pumpkin purée (*)
2 eggs
3 1/4 c gluten-free flour
3 Tbsp creamy peanut butter (**)

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Mix all ingredients together and roll into balls or drop by teaspoon on a parchment-lined cookie sheet. Press each biscuit down slightly w/a fork. Bake 30 – 35 minutes and let cool. Makes about 2 dozen semi-soft treats.

To make any of these treats crunchy, try these tips from http://www.dogtreatkitchen.com:

♥ Roll out the dough to 1/2″ thick instead of 1/4″
♥ Use larger cookie cutters
♥ Turn oven down from 350 to 325 degrees and bake an extra 10 – 15 minutes
♥ Leave treats in oven once turned off to cool down
