We bought a box of Purina Beneful Snackers; and within 24 hours, both Casey and Tessie threw up twice. There was undigested bits and pieces of the Purina Beneful treats. After this happened Sunday night, Casey slept; however, Tessie was lethargic. Two good signs were that their stools were normal, and they were drinking water. Monday morning, they were both active; however, Tessie threw up twice again Monday night. She was not lethargic tonight. They were both very active and playing.

If anyone feeds their pets Purina Beneful, please Google or Bing to read the articles. There have been 500 plus complaints filed with Consumer Affairs since January 2013, and there has been no recall.

“This Beneful dry dog food product has the controversial food moisturizer, Propylene Glycol. Propylene Glycol has been banned by the FDA for use in making cat food. Yet, it can still be found in mostly lower quality dog foods.” – http://www.dogfoodadvisor.com

“According to Wikipedia, Propylene Glycol is a part in newer automotive antifreeze and de-icers used at airports.” – http://blogs.fayobserver.com

If anyone reading this has experienced a problem with Purina Beneful, my heart goes out to you and your pets. Please help by filing a complaint with the FDA and your State Department of Agriculture. Let’s stop any more pets from getting sick or dying from contaminated pet food!
